After too long an absence, the Long Lake cleanup is back! Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 9 - 11 a.m. Thanks to Peg Toomey for resurrecting this very important event.
This is your opportunity to help preserve and protect Long Lake and its thriving wildlife. Even the smallest of efforts can make a huge difference for today and for future generations. This year’s clean up efforts include the southwest shoreline adjacent to the railroad tracks and the swamp on the southeast shoreline.
Long Lake needs clean up volunteers on foot and in the water via non-motorized boats (kayaks, canoes, row boats).
We also need pontoon boats to collect and cart garbage bags to the shoreline.
Whether you have your own boat or not, everyone is encouraged to volunteer.
Hotdog lunch at 11:00 immediately following.
