Please be advised of the recent Fox Waterway Agency press release regarding localized flooding. While Long Lake is already at flood levels, conditions may worsen as the Fox River and Chain O’Lakes continue to rise. This surge may back up into Long Lake, further increasing water levels. Please secure belongings and take appropriate precautions.
Note: Long Lake is not expected to reach 2017 levels nor is the Chain O'Lakes. The Fox Waterway Agency provided the following clarification to the press release. The lower Fox River is expected to surpass 2017 Flood levels. The Chain is currently anticipated to reach 7.3 this week based on the current forecast according to the IDNR. The Chain hit a high of 8.03 in 2017. Let's hope we don't hit that level on the Lakes at this time, or any other time. |
